St. Johns, PA (6/7/2017)- Especially during the last two seasons, Enduro racing has become a popular attraction at Evergreen Raceway. Just when it didn’t seem like it could get any better for the Enduro racing drivers and fans, the track is proud to announce their “Fantastic Four Hours of Evergreen” to cap off their 2017 Enduro racing season. In what would be the longest Enduro event in track history, each registered car will consist of a four member team, and each will be mandated to take a turn at the wheel during the draining event.

Whether it be rain, snow or shine, the event is slated to take place on Saturday, November 11. In order for the four hour non points paying show to take place, a minimum of 50 Four Cylinder Enduro teams must be pre-registered by October 15.

With the exception of having a mandatory fire extinguisher in the driver’s compartment of the car, the event will follow the regular Evergreen raceway Enduro rules.

The racing is slated to start at 1 PM with the running of the “Fantastic Four Hours of Evergreen” will kick off at approximately 2 PM.

There will be four drivers per team/car. Each driver will compete for one hour. A mandatory red flag will be thrown at every hour on the dot for a mandatory driver change, car and/or tire repair and refueling, all of which will take place on the race track exactly where the cars stopped under red. Each hourly red flag break will be timed at 15 minutes. It is recommended that each team uses a hand truck or wagon to transport tools, tires and fuel containers onto the race track.

It is imperative that the same driver cannot compete more than once for each team. However, drivers may be registered with multiple teams and will be charged an additional pit admission and registration for each team that he or she competes with.

Based on 50 cars, the event will be $1,000 to win, plus the top 15 finishers will receive cash and awards. The cash award for 15th place is $175.
If 100 teams are entered, the event will pay $1,500 to the winner and the top 25 finishers will receive cash and awards.
The team registration fee is $200/Team ($50/driver). Transponder rental is absolutely free and pit admission is only $25. Absolutely no refunds will be provided, unless the minimum number of cars is not met.

The pit gates will swing open at 11 AM and the grandstands will open at noon. Grandstand Admission is just $5 for adults. Children 12 & under will be admitted for free with a paying adult. One dollar from each adult admission will be donated to a local charity.
