Charlie Sharpsteen Scores Big New York Super Stock Series Win at Evergreen Raceway
St. Johns, PA (9/17/2017)- The New York Super Stock Series rolled to Evergreen Raceway on Sunday for the running of the tracks first ever “Sleepy’s Street Stock Shootout”. With a $1,500 prize guaranteed for the race winner, the 75-lap main event winner was destined to be a barnburner. Following three lead changes over the 55 laps ran, the event was checkered for rain and Charlie Sharpsteen of Chemung, NY was awarded the hard fought victory. Rob Silver of Howell, NJ held off Sean Verwys for the Legends victory and Katie Verwys notched her first ever Evergreen Bandolero victory. Zane Zeiner Collects Big Prize Following Evergreen Victory
 St. Johns, PA (9/10/2017)- With the switch back to Sunday afternoon racing for the fall season at Evergreen Raceway and with $2,000 on the line for the winner of the American Rental Equipment Modified Series main event, Zane Zeiner of Bath grabbed the lead on a lap 12 restart and never relinquished the lead. Mikey Pollack of Drums earned his first career Barbush Automotive Street Stock victory and Devin Schmidt of Palmerton took the big $450 to win Evans Roadhouse Four Cylinder event. The Factory Stock division was back in action with the Ed Makarewicz “Duct Tape 50” Memorial and when it was all said and done, Tom Casagrande of Drums was victorious. St. Johns, PA (8/19/2017)- Spared from bad weather, Evergreen Raceway finally got their entire program of short track racing in Friday Evening. That was almost the case Saturday evening as well with the speedway’s “Summer Slam” Enduro Series, Presented by Sponenberg’s Exhaust. Fans also got a look at the Bob’s Subs and Pizza Outlaw Stock division. The evening kicked off with a first time winner, as Mikey Pollack drove off to his first career Outlaw Stock victory. Matt Hirschman Remains Unbeaten at Evergreen Raceway  
St. Johns, PA (8/19/2017)- It seems like it wouldn’t be a typical Friday night at Evergreen Raceway with the treat of rain. Luckily, storms blew through early enough in the day for the skies to clear and for the speedway’s racing program to click off without a drop of moisture for Fairway Motors Employee Appreciation Night. When it was all said and done, Matt Hirschman of Northampton remained unbeaten in the American Rental Equipment Modified Series action, as he claimed his third win of the season and the $2,000 prize. With $1,000 on the line for the winner of the Barbush Automotive Street Stock feature, it was bound to be a barnburner. Randy Schlenker of Whitehall edged Mike Pollock for the win and the cash. Tom Casagrande of Drums held off Stephanie Moyer to claim the Factory Stock victory and even with a three wide pass for the lead, the Evan’s Roadhouse Four Cylinder feature went caution free and Harry O’Neill of Mountaintop took the win. Steve Shultz Steers to Second Evergreen Late Model Win
St. Johns, PA (7/28/2017)- With the threat of rain in the forecast, Evergreen Raceway management decided to take the risk and still hold their Friday night program of short track racing on the one third mile paved oval. The risk paid off and the track remained dry for the entire evening. When it was all said and done, Steve Shultz of Drums bested Mike Sweeney for his second Himmer Graphics Late Model feature win of the season and Randy Schlenker of Walnut port steered clear of problems to cruise to his fourth Barbush Automotive Street Stock victory of the season. Brayden Spencer of Shickshinny notched held off Devin Schmidt for his third Evans Roadhouse Four Cylinder victory of the year and TJ Kapish bested Harry O’Neill for the Wheel’s Bar and Grill Strictly Stock victory. Jake Jones Takes First Evergreen Enduro Victory
St. Johns, PA (7/8/2017)- Presented by Sponenberg’s Exhaust, Evergreen’s Independence Enduros set the stage at the track Saturday evening for another exciting event that featured a new winner. Following five lead changes, Jake Jones of Hunlock Creek took his first Four Cylinder Enduro victory and Harry O’Neill of Mountaintop notched the 6/8-Cylinder portion of the show. When the top two Bob’s Subs and Pizza Outlaw Stocks tangled in turn three on the final lap, Scott Adams of Lake Ariel ducked low and grabbed the checks. Hank Rogers, Jr. of Scotrun took the four stroke American TQ Midget Racing Club victory and Billy Hughes of Levittown grabbed the four stroke victory. Steve Shultz Returns to Victory Lane at Evergreen Raceway
St. Johns, PA (7/7/2017)- Somehow storms in northeastern Pennsylvania Friday evening spared Evergreen Raceway and their regularly scheduled Friday night show went off without a hitch. When it was all said and done, Steve Shultz of Drums picked up his first Himmer Graphics Late Model win of the season, In an all out battle to the checkers, Randy Schlenker of Walnutport held off Mike Pollock to score his third Barbush Automotive Street Stock win of the year. Just past halfway, TJ Kapish of Mountaintop made a three wide move to take the lead and the checkered flag for his first career Evan’s Roadhouse Four Cylinder victory and Gene Drew of West Milford, NJ held off a late race challenge by Sean Verwys to score his first Evergreen Legends Victory. Mike Sweeney Adds Evergreen Raceway to 2017 Win List
St. Johns, PA (7/1/2017)- The first Friday night event of racing since the 2005 racing season kicked off this past Friday at Evergreen Raceway. In his first start at the track this season, Mike Sweeney of Nesquehoning edged Kyle Harvell for the Himmer Graphics Late Model victory. After leading a number of laps last week, Rich Paciotti of Kunkletown fended off Randy Schlenker to take the checkers in the Barbush Automotive Street Stock division and thirteen year old Brayden Spencer of Shickshinny bested a healthy Evan’s Roadhouse Four Cylinder field for his second victory of the season. Matt Hirschman Wins Big Money at Evergreen Raceway
St. Johns, PA (6/25/2017)- Following a rain delay on Sunday at Evergreen Raceway, Matt Hirschman of Northampton, PA started from the ninth spot in the 50-lap American Equipment Rental Modified Series event. The seasoned veteran remained smooth and consistent throughout the show and then with 14 laps remaining, took the lead from Bobby Jones. It was his second $2,000 Evergreen payday in as many starts at the track this season. TJ Gursky of Lehighton, PA worked by Rich Paciotti just past the halfway point of the Barbush Automotive Street Stock feature to score his first win of the season and Ron Heeter overtook Scott Adams with ten laps remaining to take the Evan’s Roadhouse Four Cylinder Feature win. Pete Verwys Dominated Junelopy Event at Evergreen Raceway
St. Johns, PA (6/4/2017)- It’s no secret that Pete Verwys of Stroudsburg is the ultimate wheelman when it comes to Enduro racing. Despite racing on a rain and oil soaked racing surface, Verwys proved that statement further Sunday at Evergreen Raceway by not only taking the Four Cylinder victory, but also the 6/8-Cylinder win in the Evergreen Enduro Series, presented by Sponenberg’s Exhaust. After winning the Barbush Automotive Street Stock feature last weekend, Randy Schlenker of Walnutport never skipped a beat to repeat the victory. Following a wild Four Cylinder event, which featured eleven lead changes and a slew of action, “Dynamite” Danny Cascioli of Easton took the checkered for his first career Enduro victory. Jacob Gustafson Earns $400 Four Cylinder Victory
St. Johns, PA- With $400 at stake for the Evan’s Roadhouse Four Cylinder feature event winner, Evergreen Raceway’s exhibition “Four Banger Sunday” event kicked off on a beautiful Sunday afternoon. The fans that flocked to the track witnessed 16-year old Jacob Gustafson of NY come from the back twice to earn the big prize. Evergreen Raceway Announces American Rental Equipment as Modified Sponsor
There are a variety of events on the schedule prior to the official opening day, but the regular racing season at Evergreen Raceway is set to kick off with the American Rental Modified Series headlining the event on Sunday, May 21.
   Owned and operated by Mike Piechota and Located in Lehighton, American Rental Equipment offers just about everything under the sun, from heavy equipment to generators and party rentals. S &D Bodyline Steps Up It’s Sponsorship for 2017 Season
Perfect Attendance Awards To Be Awarded at 8 Local Speedways
S&D Bodyline and owner Don Biegley will be very busy at the end of the 2017 racing season. Besides their normal daily business they will be Fabricating 10 extra Outer Body Kits for the winners of their “Perfect Attendance Award” that will be picked on the final night of racing at 8 area speedways.
The awards will be awarded to a driver in the Modified, Sportsman or Crate Modified class who has achieved “Perfect Attendance” in all of their speedway’s events. In the event there are more than one driver with a Perfect Attendance at a speedway, a speedway representative will select the winner from a drawing.
The winners will receive one S&D outer body kit consisting of two doors, two quarter panels and two A&B Pillars. All winners have until December 31, 2017 to contact S&D with their award certificates. Award certificates are Non Transferrable. Full Story

St. Johns, PA-  The third and final leg of Evergreen’s “Triple Crown Series” for Enduro competitor concluded Saturday afternoon with the running of their “March Madness” event. With hopes of winning the event and with championships on the line, Enduro racers and fans braved Mother Nature’s cool spring temperatures. However, that didn’t slow the action one bit. When it was all said and done, Bryan Kelly of Long Island claimed the Four Cylinder victory. A strong second place finish by Pete Verwys of Stroudsburg propelled him to not only the championship in his division, but also to the overall Triple Crown. In different fashion, Woot Lawrence of Long Island, NY capitalized on Harry O’Neill’s misfortune to not only claim the 6/8-Cylinder victory, but also the divisional championship and Triple Crown. Verwys and O’Neill in Tune with Winter Blues Victories
St. Johns, PA (2/11/2017)- With snow and slush covering the racing surface at Evergreen Raceway, Seventy six entrants took part in the second leg of the speedway’s ‘Triple Crown Series’. Spring like temperatures helped bring fans to the track for the action, which was intense in the early going. When it was all said and done, Pete Verwys of Stroudsburg came home with the ‘Winter Blues’ Four Cylinder Enduro victory. After starting fifth on the grid in the 6/8-Cylinder portion of the show, Harry O’Neill of Mountaintop grabbed the lead and never looked back for his second straight victory.
   Bob Wink started from the pole and led the first circuit of the 100-lap Four Cylinder Enduro. Dave Imler, Jr. held second, followed by Frank Shetler, Chris Rose and Tom Stevens.
   With four laps complete, Pete Verwys grabbed second and set his sights on the leader. Three laps later Verwys made a bid for the lead, which was a success. Meanwhile, Scott Adams cracked the top five and later challenged Wink for second. FULL STORY
Area Businesses Establishing Relationships with Evergreen Raceway
St. Johns, PA (1/8/2017)- The official 2017 racing season at Evergreen Raceway officially kicked off last Saturday with their “Snowball 100” Enduros. However, it’s not the only thing that the track managers have been gearing up for, even prior to the end of last season. Improvements on the speedway grounds have been ongoing for months and the sponsorship hunt has also been ongoing. Recently, the speedway decided to extend an incentive filled sponsorship proposal to several area businesses, which paid off to establish a relationship between the speedway and those businesses. St. Johns, PA (1/7/2017)- The 2017 racing season officially kicked off Saturday at Evergreen Raceway with their “Snowball 100” Enduros. The event is the first leg of the speedway’s “Triple Crown Series”, which will run through the winter months of this season.
